Up until now, applying the Pixel-style theme to the onscreen buttons on Android required root permissions and quite a lot of work. PixBar is here to solve both of those problems.
Let’s start with a short disclaimer, PixBar only works on devices with an onscreen navigation bar and it won’t create buttons on devices with hardware navigation keys. You will also need to be running stock Android (with the exception of the Moto Z which is supported by the app). The app should gain support for other popular devices like the LG G5 or HTC 10 soon so sit tight if you own one of those phones.
Using PixBar is very simple. Just open the app and allign the screen overlay so it fills the on-screen buttons perfectly. There is also an option to change the colour of the fill and a quick toggle for the autostart functionality. Keep in mind that this app does not add the navbar animation and only changes the fill of the buttons. Regardless, it is a great tool to add some freshness to your device’s onscreen buttons and for just about one Dollar, it is quite a good deal.
