Just hours before launch, pictures and specs of Samsung’s new phone, the Galaxy C9 Pro, have leaked. Here is what we know so far.
Samsung is ready to launch another smartphone from the C series in China. T-Mall, an online retailer, appears to have published the specs of the device before the official announcement.
The Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is said to feature a 6-inch AMOLED 1080p screen, and is rumoured to be powered by the recent octa-core Snapdragon 653 processor. All of this is supposed to be backed up by a huge 4000 mAh battery and, for the first time in any device from the South Korean manufacturer, 6GB of RAM. The phone will have 64GB of internal storage (with microSD card expansion) and Dual SIM capabilities. In terms of the cameras, Samsung does not disappoint with the C9 Pro featuring 16 Mpix cameras on both sides of the device. The phone will come with a USB Type-C port for charging or file transfer and, thankfully, a 3,5mm headphone jack that is absent in many new devices. Images from the Chinese website also reveal that the Galaxy C9 Pro will come in at just 6,9mm and will use both the bottom speaker and earpiece for audio playback (similarly to the HTC 10’s BoomSound technology). Most probably available only in China, the phone will cost about 3199.00 Yuan (473.03 USD).
