Update, March 14: Other photos are suggesting that the icon labels might be visible or possible to enable.
Up until now, we haven’t seen any big leaks about the Galaxy S8 software. Now the first images are appearing showing us the launcher and icons of the upcoming flagship.
It is obvious that Samsung is making the new UI as minimal as possible. The launcher has been revamped with updated icons and a new weather widget. The icon labels are now hidden and the stock gradient wallpaper is simplicity in its finest. There are also some minor tweaks in the app drawer.
The new icons have a shape quite similar to what we saw in the previous versions of Samsung’s Android skin. The changes are visible inside of the rounded off squares where the system icons are now built of lines instead of being filled in shapes.
