The Samsung Galaxy S8 could capture video at 1000 fps

Many were disappointed when the leaked spec sheet of the upcoming Galaxy S8 and S8+ didn’t reveal any camera improvements. However, the latest rumours are suggesting this might not be completely true.

According to a report from¬†Naver,¬†the Galaxy S8 lineup could be able to capture video at a stunning 1000 fps. This could definitely improve the quality of slow motion footage produced by the smartphones. Sony’s Xperia XZ had similar capabilities with its IMX400 sensor and 960 fps video recording options. The source states that Samsung would be using a different sensor for its newest devices.

The report also suggested a few other changes. The 8MP selfie camera could feature auto-focus and the new iris scanner might use an additional 3.7MP RGB sensor.
