3 Android apps that you shouldn’t miss this week – Weekly App Roundup

0

Welcome to the New Year and welcome to TechView’s first 2017 Weekly App Roundup.

Sync

Tired of using the official Reddit app? Sync will be a great replacement. The app displays Reddit content in a simple and beautiful Material Design interface which, apart from a great design, offers great functionality. You can switch between Subreddits using the slide-out menu, which also gives you access to your account, the app settings and more. Sync offers an ton of customisation options from changing the colours and animations to editing the fonts and image positions. You will also find many preferences for the content itself like various posts and comments options or settings for the link handling. There is also a handy night mode, a simple search tool, post filters and much more.

Dingless

While notification sounds are really handy you can sometimes get tired of having too many or getting them in the inappropriate moments. This is where Dingless comes in. The app offers two simple yet extremely useful options. The first one lets you disable individual alerts and make the tool combine them to later make one sound after a selected period of time. The second function disables notification sounds when your device’s screen is on and you are already looking at it. It might not seem like much but Dingless is definitely really useful.

Dots

Dots is an extremely simple yet addictive game where you connect dots of the same colour and challenge yourself to beat the record. There are 3 modes: Timed where you have 60 seconds to connect as many dots as you can, Moves where you have a limited number of moves, Challenges where you can compete with players around the world and Endless which is only available in the paid version of the app. The payment also unlocks a handful of customisation options to make the gameplay even more enjoyable.
