An easy way to customize your Android device is, among many other methods, changing the lockscreen. There are many alternative apps for that and here are 3 great ones.
Ac Display is probably one of the most beautiful and minimalistic lockscreens for Android. It lacks some features, such as any type of security, but is still a great choice. The interface is based on a clock or any other widget displayed on a background of your choice. New notifications are shown as small icons under the widget and can be instantly viewed by tapping on it. Unlocking is as simple as swiping anywhere on the screen. The lockscreen is fully customizable, so most of the UI elements can be changed to match your liking. The app comes with some very handy features, such as Active mode, which turns on the screen every time you pick up your phone.
Next Lock Screen
Next Lock Screen is one of the most functional apps of its sort. The lockscreen shows you weather, notifications, your most used apps based on your current location and gives you quick access to the camera and quick toggles, all without having to unlock your phone. You can swipe right on a notification to open the app that sent it and swipe left to dismiss it. Next Lock Screen doesn’t feature Material Design, but if that’s not a problem for you, it’s definitely worth trying.
Hi Locker is a functional and customizable lockscreen. It gives you direct access to the camera and dialer, displays notifications and shows the weather. Another useful feature is the What’s next screen which you will see after swiping left. There are 3 available unlock styles – Classic, Lollipop and iOS. You can change the look of the clock, edit the shortcuts and customize the lockscreen text. Hi Locker works well and is a very good lockscreen replacement.
